Just Friends

This is an adorable movie because of the funny talent and great on-screen chemistry. The story line shows a successful guy gets stuck in his hometown for the holidays, isn’t terribly original but is played out with an endearing charm. (Emily)

Die Hard

Watch movie trailer

A great way to get in the Christmas spirit by watching Bruce Willis single handedly decimate a skyscraper ful of terrorists on Christmas Eve Yippie-ki-yay….(Parveen)

It’s refreshing to see a homour filled action movie that also portrays the common Christmas time theme – doing whatever it takes to protect and be with your loved ones. It’s a stretch, but it’s a fun packed action movie that I love! (Pardeep)

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Watch movie trailer

It’s Christmas time and all Clark wishes for the family is that they have a good time but all he is able to deliver is chaos and hair-raising mishaps. (Parveen)

Watching this movie has become a family tradition of mine. I watch it every year and it is as funny today as it was when I first saw it. The disfunction of the Griswold family is ultimate. Besides hilarious performances from Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid, the movie also stars Juliette Lewis and that guy from ‘The Big Bang Theory’, Johnny Galecki.

Home Alone

Watch movie trailer

Eight year-old Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas, has to defend his home against two idiotic burglars with a collection of homemade booby traps. (Parveen)

This movie portrayed how a Mother can sacrifice her vacation just to rush home to be with her child who has been left all alone. It’s also fun to watch how Kevin, the home alone smart kid, shows courage and confidence that he can defend their home all by himself. (Loy)

There’s something magical when a little boy faces his fears and overcomes them all by himself. The more I watch the movie, the more probable the story line becomes. (Pardeep)

Elf

Watch movie trailer

It’s such a silly but cute movie….It was when Will Ferrell’s character questioned the reality of Santa that my youngest son stopped believing. (Ritu)

Polar Express

Watch movie trailer

I loved the animation and it was such a sweet story. (Ritu)

A magical Christmas story about a boy who learns to believe in Santa and the true meaning of Christmas. (Loy)

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Watch movie trailer

The story of the Grinch is one of my favourites, and the live action movie version is a nice complement to the original animated short. Who else but Jim Carrey could pull this off without it being cheesy?…or maybe it is cheesy. Either way, I’m a fan of this movie. (Mike)

Home Alone 2

Watch movie trailer

I have watched this every Christmas since I was a kid. There’s just something so unrealistically appealing about a kid running around New York, escaping robbers, and living it up in a fancy hotel charged to his dad’s credit card that made you think you could get away with all of that and more as a child. (Jenelle)

Serendipity

Watch movie trailer

A feel good movie about love, fate and destiny during the holidays. I’d wish to have a love story as this, set in the big apple during Christmas. (Mike Lao)

Jack Frost

Watch movie trailer

Other than my obsession with hockey, this Christmas movie is a film I always watch during the holidays. I can easily connect with this movie as it relates to my values. It focuses on the importance of family and more specifically, a father and son relationship. (Mike Lao)
