As our nation celebrates a milestone anniversary, this Canada Day will be bigger than ever! Let us set the scene: fireworks lighting up the sky from coast to coast, lines of flags framing the streets, families gathered in parks, backyards, and beaches… Gosh, we can’t wait!
Here's how the BTI team will be celebrating this milestone anniversary:
Parveen & Ritu Dhupar
We will be spending the actual big day, July 1, locally as Mississauga and Streetsville always put on a fantastic party! Later in the summer, we will travel out east to explore PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia......places we have never been to in our great country.
I will be gathering with friends and family and spend the day at Harbourfront and enjoy the fireworks at night.
My wife and I will visit some Canadian national parks and take advantage of our free 2017 Discovery Passes!
I'll be enjoying a BBQ, pool-side, and hopefully, see some fireworks on the day of, and exploring our national parks throughout the summer.
I can think of no better way to celebrate Canada's 150th than this: Enjoying a meal of a peameal bacon sandwich with a side of poutine, parking my car at a high vantage point with Square One in the distance to watch the fireworks, and enjoying the smooth Canadian sounds of Leonard Cohen, and Alanis Morissette (Don't judge my musical taste, they are both legends in their own right).
For Canada Day, I'll be having a barbeque with my family and celebrating my nephew's first birthday.
I am going to celebrate the day by brewing my own beer!
Georgian Bay is the perfect picture of Ontario and one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Canada that I've experienced. I'll be there at the family cottage, chilling out with family, and hopefully enjoying a gorgeous sunset and starry night.
This Canada Day I will be heading over to Chinguacousy Park, to celebrate with thousands of Bramptonians across the city. There will be internationally acclaimed bands playing such as Yukon Blonde, plus lots of fun food vendors that I plan on checking out. I will also be playing bubble soccer and finishing the day off by watching the fireworks with my family.
I will be exploring the downtown core and taking some photos (glad to see the weather forecast showing that the day will be mostly sunshine). I would also like to grab some food in Chinatown for lunch then dinner in Little Italy to watch the fireworks nearby.
I will be driving up to Sauble Beach to enjoy the fireworks and go camping.
To celebrate Canada's 150th birthday, I'm gonna spend the day with my family at Niagara Falls.
My plan is to get my bike running. I desperately need to get back on two wheels as driving is killing my humour. I will also probably catch up on lost sleep.
I'm celebrating by requesting anything by The Tragically Hip at a friend's wedding reception!
I will spend Canada day with my family and some friends, celebrating with food and fireworks.
Canada Day has always been a special time for my wife and I. Now going into our 2nd Canada Day with our 20-month-old baby It has become even more special. For Canada Day we plan to spend time together and enjoy the festivities at Port Credit "Paint The Town Red" festival parade, kids activities, and face painting while sporting our Canada Day shirts.
Happy Canada Day, from all of us at BTI!
